I grew up in Oxted, Surrey & since a young age sport has played a large part in my life as I pursued a variety of sports including; tennis, hockey, athletics, football, rugby, swimming. I competed to county standard in both swimming & running but it was football that was my big passion up until I left college captaining my 1st XI and having a summer trial at Portsmouth FC. However following my swimming coach at the time introducing me to triathlon in 2009, & after buying a road bike, I was hooked & I have continued my development at Cardiff Metropolitan University under the guidance of my coach Andrew Lane.
I have over the past 5yrs gone on to claim multiple titles at University Level winning the BUCS Standard Distance Championships event in 2013, 2015 & the BUCS Sprint Triathlon in 2015 as well as becoming World & European Age-Group Standard Distance Champion in 2013. Due to these performances I was selected for the Great Britain Triathlon Team to take part in the World University Triathlon Championships in Brazil where I placed 13th in incredibly tough conditions. My biggest result to date came in 2014 in London where I placed 3rd at the Elite London triathlon & I aim to produce more of these results in the future.
